Built by Sanlorenzo and delivered in 2019, 64.25m luxury yacht Attila he 64Steel offers features usually found on larger superyachts – such as the 275 m2 private Owner’s Deck – which combine with innovative layout solutions and elegant exterior lines to create a truly remarkable superyacht.
In 2019, 64Steel Attila was awarded the ‘Best Interior Design’ Trophy for yachts over 30m at the Cannes Yachting Festival World Yacht Trophies Gala Dinner.
She can accommodate up to 12 people with 18 crew members. With a gross tonnage of 1600 GRT and at a striking 64 metres in length, 64Steel Attila is the result of close collaboration between the studio Officina Italiana Design and the styling division of Sanlorenzo. Her internal décor is the work of Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini.
The Main Deck at the stern and the Beach Club on the Lower Deck surely represent the most distinctive areas of the project. A strong hallmark of design and layout is the double stairway that connects the pool and dining area to the Beach Club equipped with a sauna, hammam, massage room, and gym, right at the waterline. With the bow mirror and the side platforms open, the Beach Club covers an area of 78 square meters.
“The most important aspect that has characterized yatcht’s concept has been the will to obtain continuity between the beach club and an area we could call an “al fresco” veranda, that is the rear part of the Main Deck where the pool is also located, passing along an impressive stairway. The idea behind the layout in fact enables us to integrate the main aft deck and the beach club as much as possible. This characteristic thus enables us to enjoy both areas, around which the social life on board is focused, simultaneously, without separating the guests.” Antonio Santella, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division.
A real challenge for the production team was the creation of an enormous barbecue in the dining area of the main deck, a request which was particularly connected to the nationality of the owner, an Argentine entrepreneur who was already a Sanlorenzo client with the 46Steel Achille delivered in 2012 and was closely involved with the planning and construction of the new yacht from the beginning. The arrangement of an open fire in an enclosed space in fact required the use of A60 fireproof stainless steel and the installation of an advanced smoke removal system.
The crew, located in the Lower Deck, has private and independent routes with two service stairs and an elevator for the rapid transfer of cold and dry goods into the storage rooms. Below the Lower Deck, lies the Tank Deck with a refrigeration chamber, a refrigerated waste room, a multimedia room for the crew, a large laundry, and a climate-controlled “wine cellar” with a capacity of up to 500 bottles.
The four guest rooms and the full beam VIP suite are located on the Main Deck. The 64Steel Attila interiors were furnished and decorated by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini. “We worked full speed with the owner and the shipyard – recalls Francesco Paszkowski – defining a modern space in South American style with natural elements such as teak, near which the owner wanted to add and mix many other materials he loves, and which are part of his personal experience. Attila is the yacht of a man who lives life to the fullest. And lives his yacht.”
Regarding the furnishings, many pieces were custom designed, while others were created by some Italian and international leading design companies such as Summit, De Sede, Flexform and Catellani & Smith
Her top speed is 18kn and her power comes from two 2375hp Caterpillar 3516-C diesel engines.
On 8 May 2020 Ulstein has delivered the first two platform supply vessels of the Ulstein px121 design built at SWS, China, the 'Guo Hai Min Xing' and the 'Guo Hai Min Sheng'. They are operating for COSL – China Oilfield Services Limited, for whom they have a long-term charter.Two more vessels of the same design at SWS (Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.), have completed their sea trial and will also be delivered to COSL shortly, according to schedule. Owner of all four vessels is Sinoocean.Guo Hai Min Xing (originally Crest Andromeda 2), a Ulstein px121 design. This translates to a performance level that is usually expected from larger PSVs, but at a medium-sized PSV cost - delivering excellent value-for-money for the owner and operator.

Echo Yachts reveals 50m Project Echo catamaran design. This is the latest design collaboration between Bannenberg & Rowell Design in London, their Australian custom superyacht build team at Echo Yachts in Perth and Incat Crowther in Sydney.The aluminium catamaran is described as “similar” in design to the FRP composite catamaran Charley, delivered by the yard in 2017.New Yacht Support Vessel can accommodate up to 20 guests and 17 crew, also it has entertainment areas and a selection of tenders and toys including specialist scuba diving facilities and dive store, onboard hyperbaric chamber and a helicopter pad.According to company's sales and marketing manager, Chris Blackwell, “Added to the excitement of this new vessel we are really pleased it fits in nicely with Echo’s ongoing commitment to creating world-class ‘eco-efficient’ vessels here in Western Australia. Ferretti Yachts 500 is the result of the collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee headed by Ing. Piero Ferrari, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, architect Filippo Salvetti for the exteriors and design studio Ideaeitalia for the new interior design concept.The exteriors have the aerodynamic design and the sleek, streamlined shapes. The stern features a soft and sporty design, with new solutions and generous spaces, while the profile of the hull proposes an enhancement of the windows, characterised by wide, modern shapes.According to Filippo Salvetti, the exterior design architect, “The design of the new Ferretti Yachts 500 highlights an overall dynamism thanks to new and innovative stylistic features of the superstructure. A natural heir to the Ferretti Yachts 720, it reinterprets the new styles of the range in a very personal way. It proposes a layout based on a design centred on people and their life on board, a typical approach of the Ferretti DNA. The two different moods of decor by Ideaeitalia studio perfectly reflect the Just Like Home philosophy and are able to satisfy the tastes of every customer”.Ferretti Yachts 500 reveals two types of the interior: Classic, with its warm tones and Contemporary, inspired by Mediterranean colours.The Classic mood is dominated by dark oak, combined with glossy and matte lacquers in shades of black and white. The main deck features a spacious lounge area, with two large sofas and a coffee table that can be transformed into a dining table.Key features of the yacht is the stern swimming platform. When the platform is submerged, steps are revealed for totally safe access to the sea, and the convenience of the latest-generation optional lift system makes it suitable for the whole family. Ferretti Yachts 500 installs twin Cummins QSB 6.7 engines delivering 550 mhp, for a top speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots (preliminary data). The new yacht will also be equipped with optional gyroscopic stabilisation to guarantee the maximum stability at anchor and during navigation.

Damen Shipyards Group has signed an agreement with Korean yard Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction (HHIC) to deliver a complete components package for the vessel for oil recovery and working as a hopper dredger. The package includes all equipment for oil recovery operations as well as a complete dredging installation. The 5,000 tons, 4,100 m3 vessel will be built by HHIC. Damen brings to the table a complete equipment package, combined with its wide experience in assisting non-Damen yards in the construction of complex vessels.The multi-purpose vessel is being built for KOEM, the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation. This Korean Governmental body has a mission to clean and protect the marine environment. According to Damen’s sales manager Michiel Hendrikx: “We are very pleased with this project. We have been in contact with KOEM about this for some years and are very excited to have successfully signed a contract with HHIC for the delivery of the oil recovery and dredging equipment for this unique vessel. We have previous experience in South Korea, though this will be our first time delivering a components package to Korean shipyard. I am sure that with the combined experience of both Hanjin and Damen we can make this project a success.”KOEM official adds, "With this Multi-purpose oil spill response vessel project, we will be able to build a foundation for strengthening the ability to respond to large-scale marine pollution incidents as well as establish a rapid control system in Korea." He also added, "We hope for the successful deployment of this vessel to the target site so that we may continue to protect our oceans effectively."The vessel is due to be delivered in 2022.

Heesen Yachts showcases its brand new 50-metre superyacht project Triton. Triton consolidates the Heesen’s shipyard yacht concept – “to make the journey be as enjoyable as the destination”.Working closely with Heesen, Clifford Denn has imagined a sophisticated exterior design, taking elements of inspiration from classic automotive design. A 68-square-metre sun deck with Jacuzzi, alfresco dining area and sun loungers promise the best of the yachting lifestyle. For entertaining, guests are welcomed to the 78-square-metre aft deck, an area complemented by the part-enclosed sky lounge. Relocating two tenders to the bow cleverly creates space for a generous beach club, featuring the stunning bar, a sauna, comfortable seating area and a vast swim platform.The interior of the studio selected a warm, neutral palette which is tastefully punctuated with bespoke works of art and furnishings. Fendi tables sit alongside unique resin wall panels crafted by Officina Coppola, whilst acrylic glass panels with metallic accents draw the eye.The sky lounge on the 105-square-metre deck aft has large panoramic windows, the custom-made illuminated bar, soft lighting, contrasted dark door frames and leather wall panelling.The Owner’s stateroom on the main deck has a private study that leads to the full-beam bedroom, while expansive windows flood the area with natural light.The four lower deck guest suites have taupe and dark Carvalho furniture complement the warm colour scheme of the yacht.This 50-metre steel-hulled, displacement yacht is built upon Heesen’s proven technical platform, she delivers the largest possible volume while still remaining under the 500GT threshold. Two MTU 8V4000 M63 engines provide a top speed of 15 knots. The yacht boasts a range of 3,800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots.
