Bering 72 Delivered After Sea Trials
Bering Yachts has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of  its 22.2-meter explorer series. After a series of successful sea trials in Antalya, Turkey, the Bering 72 now sets the standard for expedition yachts in its class.Named the Bering 72, this model draws inspiration from classic expedition yachts, blending rugged design with modern functionality. Developed based on feedback from owners and captains of the Bering 65, this vessel epitomizes the essence of exploration and adventure.Sharing the same technical platform as its predecessor, the Bering 72 boasts the familiar rugged, expedition-style lines that have come to define Bering Yachts' offerings. Spread across three decks, its living areas include a spacious saloon and a full-beam galley on the main deck. Accommodation comprises three cabins and a luxurious full-beam master suite forward, although future units can be customized to include additional cabins to accommodate five or six guests.The yacht also features a flybridge wet bar, a generously sized swimming platform on the lower deck, and ample storage for two tenders, ensuring both comfort and convenience for extended voyages.Equipped with a 24,000-liter fuel capacity, the B72 boasts an impressive non-stop range of over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of eight knots. With a maximum speed of 10 knots, the yacht offers a smooth and serene sailing experience, with minimal noise and vibration even at full throttle.Following the delivery of the first B72, Bering Yachts has already begun work on the second vessel in the series, which was recently initiated after being sold to an American client. Bering Yachts designs and builds semi-custom, steel-hulled expedition yachts and luxury trawler yachts ranging in size from 20m to 45m. Collaborating with Nauta Design, with whom we share a rich history of mutual respect and friendship spanning three decades, is truly gratifying.Project Milano is drawing inspiration from the city itself, which mirrors various aspects of the endeavor. As the birthplace of Nauta Design and synonymous with elegance, aesthetic sensibility, and intelligent design, Milan serves as a fitting symbol for the collaboration—a place where creative ideas materialize into tangible realities.Measuring an impressive 70 meters in length overall, with a beam of 11.80 meters and a draft of 3.50 meters, the project boasts clean lines that exude purity and balance. These modern and refined exteriors reflect a timeless design inherent to Tankoa and Nauta's DNA.At the heart of Milano lies a magnificent stern area designed to captivate from the outset. This space includes a superb beach club featuring a convertible gym, a sauna, and massage room, alongside folding hull platforms that open at sea level. An exquisite swimming pool adorns the exterior, complemented by an expansive sun lounging area fully customizable to the owner's preferences.A key feature of Milano is the single-tier diesel-electric engine room located on the under-lower deck, facilitating direct access from the guest accommodation to the beach club. The lower deck houses four guest suites, a garage for water toys, crew facilities, and crew cabins, while the main deck features open-air lounges, saloons, dining areas, and VIP staterooms.Dedicated entirely to the owner's indulgence, the upper deck boasts a vast master stateroom with breathtaking views, complemented by private amenities. The bridge deck offers additional guest amenities, including a cinema room and outdoor lounges, while the sundeck provides a perfect setting to relish panoramas.Embracing sustainable technologies, the Milano project features a diesel-electric propulsion system, powered by variable speed generators and e-motors. Additionally, the yacht will be equipped with fuel cells, partnering with leading suppliers to integrate methanol fuel cells, ensuring sustainability, comfort, and safety. This initiative remains open to future advancements in hydrogen storage technologies. Tankoa was founded in 2007 and began production in 2008. The esteemed vessel, now represented by senior sales broker Jean-Marie Recamier and yacht sales advisor Jessica Ruez, is set to captivate the discerning market with its rich heritage and timeless elegance.Originally crafted in 1902 by Ailsa Shipbuilding in Troon, Scotland, Madiz stands as a testament to maritime craftsmanship and enduring allure. As the largest classic motor yacht currently available for sale at 55.4 meters, Madiz holds a distinguished position in nautical history.Boasting Lloyd's classification, Madiz has weathered the passage of time with grace, earning the distinction of being the oldest vessel in operation of its kind. Commissioned by James Coates Jnr and designed by the legendary G.L. Watson, Madiz was conceived as a mothership to complement Coates' majestic sailing yacht.Throughout its storied journey, Madiz served in various capacities, including duty in the Royal Navy Auxiliary Patrol Service during World War I. Resuming its role in pleasure yachting post-war, Madiz traversed the Mediterranean under the ownership of the Hon.
