41-meter Abeking and Rasmussen catamaran Silver Cloud is sold
After being for more than 1,248 days on the market, the 41-metre Abeking & Rasmussen catamaran yacht Silver Cloud was sold with a price of $15,900,000. The deal happened in Florida and was closed with Moran Yacht & Ship.Silver Cloud was built in 2008 by Abeking & Rasmussen and delivered to her original owner as a small waterplane area twin hull (SWATH). She won two superyacht awards in 2009, has circumnavigated the world twice, completed her DNV/GL inspection and received a complete rebuild of her main engines. She underwent a refit in 2018 in the same shipyard’s Lemwerder port.Silver Cloud features an exterior design by Abeking & Rasmussen and an interior by Kirschstein Designs Ltd and Spectrum Interior Design.The catamaran has enough space on board for 12 guests to be accommodated across five staterooms, serviced by a crew of eight.The 498 GT yacht is powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines. As she is powered by Caterpillar engines of 1100 hp each, she can achieve a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
Lürssen Superyacht Nord was captured undertaking sea trials in the Baltic Sea
The 142 metre Lürssen superyacht Nord has been captured undertaking sea trials in the Baltic Sea. The yacht, which was previously known as Opus and Project Redwood, has now returned to Lürssen's Lemwerder facility ahead of delivery.The six decked yacht hit the water for the first time in July at Lürssen's yard. Nord was technically launched in January 2019.The management of project Opus is done by Moran Yacht & Ship, overseeing the construction process. This project sets a new record as the largest project for the company to sell. Designed by Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard, Nord was first announced in December 2015 by Moran Yacht & Ship as a 139 metre project.Moran Yacht & Ship commented:She is feature-rich with high-end amenities to delight and cater to every imaginable whimThe motor yacht can accommodate 36 guests in 20 cabins. Opus was designed by Italian design studio Nuvolari & Lenard.Project Redwood has a number of high-end features, such as a sports and diving centre on the lower deck, a large swimming pool, two superyacht helipads and a fleet of tenders measuring up to 15 metres.Nuvolari Lenard is also responsible for the interior design, which features accommodation for 36 guests in 20 staterooms.In a statement, the studio previously said that Nord "will have efficient, long-range cruising capabilities for independent global exploration."The Moran Yacht & Ship New Construction Team is overseeing the build at the German yard and aim for delivery later this year, when she will take her place among the largest superyachts in the world, most likely ranking in the top 15.Credits: Tom Van Ooosanen

The concept encompasses the most of motor and sailing yachts and features a much lighter hull shape, one of the features that helps further reduces fuel consumption.Cantenot revealed that work began on the project a year ago. One key feature is a mast system with wings “that can be propelled at twice the strength as a traditional rig,” Vollet said, meaning that fuel consumption is vastly reduced on board. 3) Lürssen successfully redelivers 110m KAOS ex JUBILEE following an extensive refitThe 110-metre Kaos has left the Lürssen Blohm+Voss facilities in Hamburg and has been redelivered to her delighted owners. The all-black 43m sporty superyacht concept BadGal by Officina Armare
Design studio Officina Amare has announced its latest superyacht concept BadGal. The 43-metre BadGal combines the studio’s traditional design and recognisable style with characterising arched sides and sporty lines. BadGal's showcases large black windows with a high sheer line that runs the entire length of the vessel from bow to stern. BadGal's concept has a glass dome-shaped upper deck and a bow shape which is optimised for speed.The concept’s interior decor contains woods, stones and metals with a layout that includes a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and accommodation for up to 10 guests. Bow mooring equipment will be hidden under the upper deck flooring in order to keep a smooth overall design. Benetti began construction on 62-meter superyacht FB283
Construction has begun on the new 62 metre Benetti superyacht FB283.A construction milestone marked the start of construction. The traditional coin ceremony took place in Livorno, followed by the keel laying.The new 62 metre Benetti when complete will will have a fast displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a tapering stern and long bow.Benetti collaborated with Giorgio M Cassetta and Van Oossanen Naval Architects on the design and prioritised requirements for speed, silent running, family use and autonomy.The new 62 metre Benetti will have “modern style” interiors flooded with light and plenty of storage for diving equipment, water toys and tenders.Speaking about the project, Cassetta stated that the team had “established a transparent and constructive relationship with the owner.
