The eagerly awaited project designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Filippo Salvetti unites the architectural language of the maritime tradition, living materials, fine craftsmanship and the power of light, encompassing them in a perfect circle. Launched in October, Custom Line Navetta 30 marks a new chapter. 



At 28.43 m (93 ft) in length and with a beam of 7.3 m (24 ft), Navetta 30 is a product of collaboration between the Product Strategy Department led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. 



The yacht is the first project with exteriors designed by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by architecture and design firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. The influence of these top professionals can be seen in every stylistic choice, across a construction process in which the details are enhanced by being set against a clean and linear design.



An in-depth approach to the design process, referencing stylistic features in the finest tradition, has generated the many unusual elements that make Navetta 30 a new icon of the sea. 



They range from the choice of natural, living materials like leather, wood and rope, to an unprecedented celebration of light, not to mention reiterated references to the circle as the perfect sign, one that has also inspired a return to the rounded lines typical of boats from the past, as well as the custom design of the resin film wall coating consisting of quartz powder on glass fibre. 



The sea metaphor is also clear to see in the colourways, and particularly in the choice of blue, as well as in the care over detail and in manufacturing processes that draw on the noble art of cabinetmaking.



The constant reference to seafaring tradition can also be seen in the rounded lines and curves of the interior spaces, furniture and window frames, combined with the use of natural materials like solid wood, leather and teak, which are free to continue their natural cycle and live a new life at every stage in their story. 



The return to the historical memory of “going to sea” is also emphasised by the use of the colour blue for the walls and furnishings, as well as for the fabrics and coatings with their custom textures, all helping to enhance the continuity between interior and exterior at a stylistic level too, in an unfiltered experience with the sea.



Right from the very first glance, the exterior of Navetta 30 stands out for her classic, perfectly poised silhouette. The lines stretch out horizontally, highlighting this aspect of the design so that the vertical connections between the decks almost go unnoticed. The tinted windows and powerfully architectural design aim to reduce vertical contrasts still further and impart an emphatic horizontal movement to how the pale colours are ‘read’.

The yacht has a dynamic personality expressed by taut, sweeping lines, with volumes, performance and comfort on a par with much larger models and an exterior design in which form and function are perfectly balanced.



 The design gives an innovative twist to the brand’s heritage values of seaworthiness, comfort, safety and customisation, making it instinctively recognisable while retaining a sense of formal purity. A design made to last.

Big windows set in the hull, decks with over two metres of headroom and very generous areas in the stern and bow convey an immediate sense of space. The exteriors maintain seamless continuity of finishes and furnishings and are designed for socialising and relaxation, adding to the convivial and private spaces on board. The result is a different way to experience the yacht, one in which the remarkable integration and interconnection between interior and exterior spaces is clear to see.

During the interior design process there was a special focus on the use of space, to optimise the yacht’s volumes and enhance the functional value of the entire surface area available. All the furniture and furnishings are custom-made using sophisticated handcrafting and cabinetmaking techniques that can clearly be seen at first glance in the stern flag mast, in the curving solid wood window frames and in the teak ceilings. The pairing with natural leather and wood creates a textured mood that is fresh and youthful.



Special care has been lavished on the lighting design, on which work began right from the outset to ensure the perfect integration of architecture and light. Ceiling units on the various decks help create a balanced lighting system in both exterior and interior areas, working in synergy with other more focused light sources to highlight design objects and works of art. The lighting of architectural features like stairways and windows becomes an integral part of the design itself, with illuminated details that establish a sense of balance and a more fluid relationship with the exteriors. Decorative wall-mounted lamps enrich the spaces with reflections and light effects, giving them personality.



The use of warm dimming technology to adjust the intensity and tone of the light emphasises the yacht’s domestic side, allowing guests to create different lighting moods and personalise their living experience.

Navetta 30 has three decks with every comfort and a total of over 320 square metres of space in which she can accommodate 10 guests in five cabins, with a master stateroom on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.

MAIN DECK

The characteristic feature of the main deck is total integration between interior and exterior spaces. The cockpit is a 34-square-metre space for socialising and can be used as both a dining and living area, with a big convertible sofa designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel exclusively for this yacht, facing a coffee table and two armchairs.
A sliding glass door leads to the living room on the main deck. This formal setting characterised by flowing lines features a palette of materials and custom-made freestanding furniture in brushed teak, natural leather and ivory colour shades, offering a contemporary twist on maritime tradition.



Expansive spaces, interior headroom of over two meters and two big side windows set entirely in the hull give the perception of fluidity and expanded volumes, creating a sense of direct and seamless contact with the water.

Continuing along the deck towards the central lobby, an all-teak staircase links the main deck with the lower and upper decks. This striking architectural feature draws on plays of light to illuminate the stairs from different angles, referencing the circle as a style feature to create a fitting accompaniment for passengers’ steps and giving the entire stairway a nuanced appearance.



On the starboard side, a day toilette precedes the exclusive owner’s suite. This spacious 35- square-metre area is designed to offer the owner a private refuge in which to relax, have fun and enjoy the sea view from any perspective.

The open study area allows the owner to enjoy the depth of space as soon as they enter the suite, with a series of windows that are never blocked by furniture. The space is dominated by the centrally positioned bed, which features flowing lines and a modern design. The master suite also has a roomy walk-in wardrobe.

The dominant mood in the living area permeates the master stateroom too, where the teak floors are set off perfectly by the paler shades of the ceilings and the marine colours used for the décor, referencing the characteristic elements of maritime tradition in a stylistically consistent way.



The leather detailing on the bed headboard, on the bottom section of the bench, and in the finishing of the bedside tables creates a relaxing atmosphere, while the pale colour shades used for the ceilings convey the sensation of more space.

The circle theme is also a feature of this setting and can be seen in the cut of the ceilings and the curved transition from wall to floor.

The owner’s bathroom has twin basins positioned centrally, with the toilet on the left and a big shower on the right. The special Microframa mosaic by Micromosaico, created exclusively for this project, enhances the setting, turning it into an oasis of leisure and wellbeing.

The fully equipped kitchen by Ernestomeda is on the left-hand side of the deck, with access from it to the crew quarters on the lower deck. Crew and guest flows are defined intelligently to allow the former to avoid the areas reserved for the latter and so ensure maximum privacy on board.

UPPER DECK

The 37-square-metre upper deck is split into a big exterior lounge and interconnected interior saloon for an authentic indoor-outdoor experience.

The outdoor dining area, with a big full beam sofa also designed exclusively by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and a dining table seating up to 10, provides an agreeable alfresco space for uniquely convivial moments.



The development of the exterior decks, particularly the upper deck and its shaded area, gives the settings a feeling of consistency and continuity by applying the same mood board, so that they are all perceived as being part of one big space.

The choice of wood for the floors, with teak planks and longitudinal black Wenge inserts in the interiors, taken together with the continuity of wood ceilings extending into the outside areas, emphasises the strong ties between interiors and exteriors.



The interior sky lounge is a 23-square-metre private saloon with extensive glazed surfaces providing guests with peerless sea views. The freestanding furniture – consisting of sofas, poufs, stools and chaises longues – adds to the maritime mood, creating a powerful connection with life on board, also as a result of the decision to reprise the leather detailing as a distinctive feature. Neutral backgrounds and richly tactile and visual textures have been chosen because they don’t reflect the artificial lighting, putting front and centre the natural light that floods into every setting.

The sweeping exterior spiral stairway connecting the upper deck with the sundeck sums up the style of this boat, in which modern materials like exposed carbon fibre alternate with more traditional ones like steel, teak and finely braided rope. The result is a sense of absolute harmony between the finishes of the furnishings and the design solutions applied to the entire yacht.

The big side walkways provide direct access to the bow area, where a Sunset Lounge covering a full 32 square metres offers an oasis of tranquillity that can be fine-tuned according to the owner’s needs, with custom-made freestanding furniture by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, a big sofa facing the sea and two chaises longues to enjoy the onboard life in total comfort and to relax in absolute privacy.

SUNDECK

The sundeck is divided into two areas: a lounge in which the big custom-made sofa by Antonio Citterio Patricial Viel makes a reappearance, creating a sense of continuity with the upper deck and cockpit, and a bar with seats looking out to sea. Designed to cater for shared experiences in the open air and as somewhere for guests to relax and have fun, the deck can be personalised with freestanding furniture that amplifies the experience of socialising at sea. The entire 35-square-metre area can be sheltered from the sun by the bimini top.



NAVAL PLATFORM AND TECHNOLOGY

Ideal to cover long distances with low fuel consumption and enjoy best of category performance levels, Custom Line Navetta 30 is fitted with two MAN i-6 engines rated 800 mhp each and is also designed to use a plug-in hybrid propulsion system (optional) to minimise CO2 and NOX emissions per mile and per ton.
With the MAN V8 engines rated 1000 mhp fitted to the first unit, the superyacht has a transatlantic range of about 2,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots (preliminary data).

There are four engine options:
• 2 MAN i6 engines rated 800 mhp (standard)
• 2 MAN V8 engines rated 1,000 mhp
• 2 CAT C18 engines rated 1,150 mhp
• 2 MAN V8 engines rated 1,200 mhp

With the last two options, the yacht has a top speed of 15 knots (preliminary data).
A new level of efficiency is achieved through a completely new hull geometry design, developed by the Ferretti Group Engineering department using CFD techniques with tapered stern sections. This achieves previously unattainable results in terms of fuel economy, but doesn’t compromise on the availability of interior volumes, with consumption during navigation even less than units much smaller than Navetta 30. Side wave formation has also been minimised.

To guarantee maximum comfort at anchor, Navetta 30 can optionally be fitted with zero speed function stabiliser fins and a Seakeeper.

Comfort at anchor and during navigation has also be increased to unusually high standards for units this size, thanks both to a new damping coupling on the propulsion line, as well as to the evolution of the acoustic insulation. The soundproofing treatments are the result of mathematical analysis targeted at each single source of noise and vibration, with soundproofed ceilings and the installation of a floating floor that reduces sound transmission from the engine room to the other areas.

The raised helm station on the upper deck is fitted with the LOOP system by Naviop-Simrad, which integrates the management of propulsion, navigation and monitoring functions in the same advanced and intuitive naval-style interface, consisting of six 24-inch touch screen monitors (optional). Alternatively, an option with six 16-inch monitors is also available. For maximum safety when manoeuvring, the unit has two side bridge wings.

Custom Line puts a premium on safety and comfort and Navetta 30 is classified in CE category Class A, offering volumes never achieved before in this market segment, measured to have an equivalent value close to 200 GT.

Italian yacht builder Lomac Milano has named fashion designer Alessandro Martorana as Creative Director of its Lomac Atelier division. The appointment coincides with the world premiere of the GranTurismo 12.5 AMare limited edition model at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival.Martorana's collaboration with Lomac represents the first product from the newly established Lomac Atelier, a service dedicated to fully customized yacht configurations. The GranTurismo 12.5 AMare features customized colors, bespoke upholstery, sartorial stitching, and matching engine livery. The design emphasizes individualized styling while maintaining the performance characteristics of the base model.The limited edition model is powered by twin Yamaha XTO 450hp outboard engines, maintaining the standard powertrain configuration of the production version. Dolomia Yachts Announces New Power Catamaran Series
Italian yacht builder Dolomia Yachts has introduced its inaugural power catamaran range, developed in partnership with design firm Centrostiledesign. The initial models include the 22-meter D100 and smaller D70, designed to provide monohull-equivalent volume with reduced hydrodynamic resistance.The D100 model offers approximately 300 square meters of interior space, comparable to 30-meter monohull yachts. Configurations include four-cabin layouts with full-beam master suite or five-cabin charter arrangements with crew accommodations. The design incorporates 66 square meters of solar panels generating 15kWp of power.Construction utilizes non-toxic resins, FSC-certified wood, and renewable cork materials. Propulsion options include Volvo diesel engines with IPS or straight-shaft transmission, alongside hybrid and fully electric system alternatives. New Yacht Brand Forte Yachts Established by West Navaltech
Italian marine engineering company West Navaltech has launched Forte Yachts, a new yacht brand focused on aluminum vessel construction. The debut model, the Forte 47, is currently in development at the company's Ameglia facility near La Spezia.West Navaltech operates from a 1,300-square-meter covered production area with 1,800 square meters of hard standing. The company has previously specialized in constructing steel and aluminum workboats ranging from 14 to 50 meters, including fire department vessels, electric catamarans, and tugboats. The company also supplies aluminum components to shipyards in the Miglio Blu district.Livio Franchini, Technical Manager and partner at West Navaltech, stated: "The creation of Forte Yachts marks a strategic expansion. We wanted to separate our workboat production from our leisure brand, keeping both worlds independent but complementary."The Forte 47 measures 14.3 meters in length with aluminum construction emphasizing interior volume. The design includes two full-height cabins and two bathrooms, with ceiling heights exceeding two meters below deck. Naval architecture was developed by Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design.The vessel will be offered in both outboard and inboard engine configurations, with layout variations depending on propulsion choice. The design targets coastal cruising itineraries such as Monaco to Porto Cervo or Miami to the Bahamas.Fernando Moricca, co-founder of the new brand, described the venture as "a response to the desire to reinterpret the sea with respect, competence and style."
