Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division announced the delivery of M/Y Frette, the second 43-meter unit of the new Atlantique line from Columbus Yachts. The vessel's project management, from her inception to the present day, has been directed by Daniela Duck and Raffaello Putti of Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division, in conjunction with Carmen Lau, senior advisor at Camper & Nicholsons Hong Kong.
Built on a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure, the Frette ship was designed by the shipyard in partnership with Hydro Tec Studio. The shipyard believes that the external profile resembles the elegance of a smoothly carved stone; it is devoid of sharp edges and sharp changes in inclination. It is a unique, harmonious shape that is both soft and assertive, embodying a harmonious combination of a motor yacht and a classic sailing vessel.
Meanwhile, Milan-based design house Hot Lab has taken responsibility for both exterior and interior design, achieving a "natural synthesis between a motor yacht and a classic sailing vessel." The custom interior not only meets the owner's ideas, but is also a living embodiment of Frette brand materials.
Commenting on the delivery of Frette, Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts, states "Camper & Nicholsons has always been a fundamental partner for us. Even in this assignment, we worked closely together, demonstrating the highest professionalism and mutual respect. Frette joins the Columbus fleet as an emblem of modernity, elegance, attention to detail and tailor-made customizations to meet the Owner's desires."
According to Carmen Lau; “Working alongside the shipyard and Hot Lab on this project has been an incredible experience, bolstered by the unwavering support of the Owner and their team. We look forward to welcoming the first custom-built Columbus Yacht to cruise Asia.”
Camper & Nicholsons is also announced that Frette will be joining their Yacht Management Division.
Frette plans to attend both the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show in 2024.
Columbus Yachts was established in 2008. In early 2019, the shipyard launched the new flagship Columbus Classic 80m M/Y Dragon, which joins in the Columbus star-studded fleet with the award-winning Sport Hybrid 40 Divine, the 57m M/Y Taiba and the 40m M/Y Eleonora III. The Columbus range offers four different lines: Sport, Classic, Crossover and Custom for unique projects. Currently, Palumbo Superyachts comprises a representative office in Monaco and a logistics network of five shipyards in the Mediterranean (Ancona, Malta, Marseille, Naples and Savona), operating under just as many world-renowned brand names: ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine, Extra Yachts and Palumbo SY Refit.
