On April 16, 2019, the Ferretti Group presented their financial results of 2018, indicating the company’s growth and financial solidity.
In general, the company’s 2018 financial cycle has proved a stable growth in profits through PAT (Profit After Taxes) of € 31 million, increasing at 29% compared to 2017. The consolidated production value has risen to € 669 million, compared to € 623 million in the previous year. Meanwhile, EBITDA, or earning before interestm stands at € 53 million.
Furthermore, according to Ferretti, the company’s portfolio order was equal to € 708 million as of December 31, 2018. At the same time, the total assets reached € 1.14 billion, with € 38.5 million composed of liquid assets.
The Group has also announced the closing of the acquisition of Wally, a Monegasque brand founded in 1994 by Luca Bassani. Wally has become the eighth one in the company’s brands portfolio next to Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line.
Following, Ferretti and Wally’s exclusive license agreement, in the period from 2019 to 2022, Ferretti plans to invest over € 84 million Euro into Wally’s active development, design perfection and construction of new yacht series. Furthermore, new models construction will be moved to the shipyards owned by Ferretti, including the company’s Super Yacht Yard facility in Ancona that will enable building Wally’s largest yachts.

It is increasingly clear that "winning easy" is just a slogan and that to stay at the top and grow steadily as Ferretti Group has been doing for some years, it is necessary to move fast and remain responsive in a market that is constantly changing. Our shareholders, who in the 2015-2018 four-year period invested 154 million in Research & Development and reinvested in the company all profits earned are, fortunately, the first and most certain ones about the need to never stop.
Galassi also highlighted that during last several years the Group has built and presented to the world 29 new models and, from 2019 to 2021 they are aiming to produce 27 more new serial models, with an average length of 30 metres, pushing further to the construction of larger boats.
The Group has also carried out expansion and renovation works at their shipyards from 2015 to 2018, worth € 64 million. An ambitious renovation project has focused on the Super Yacht Yard in Ancona, extending the area to over 80,000 square metres. By 2020, the tard will host 10 construction sheds, a 670-ton travel lift and a private marina with 14 berths available.
As to other economic activities of Ferretti, Reuters reports that Chinese conglomerate Weichai Group, which owns a near 87 percent stake in the company, plans to return Ferretti to Milanese stock exchange but has still to decide a timetable for the deal.
Columbus Yachts has started building its new 48-meter Crossover model at Palumbo Superyachts' Savona shipyard. The steel-hulled explorer with aluminum superstructures follows two previously sold Crossover units (42m and 47m), marking the shipyard's first self-financed project in this series.Designed by Hydro Tec, the vessel features an 8.6-meter beam and 2.75-meter draft, optimized for stability and long-range cruising. The exterior combines explorer-style proportions with a bulbous bow and streamlined stern for ocean-going capability. The 34th Monaco Yacht Show will take place from September 24-27, 2025, featuring approximately 560 exhibitors across Port Hercule. The latest 80-meter Amels Limited Editions superyacht has arrived at Damen Yachting's Vlissingen shipyard in the Netherlands after construction at their Galatz facility in Romania. The vessel will now undergo full outfitting in preparation for delivery in 2027.Project Manager Danker Rijk stated: "After an impressive launch in our Galatz shipyard, we are delighted to welcome this Amels 80 to Vlissingen to commence the outfitting phase. Flexjet and Ferretti Group have introduced Riva Volare, a custom aircraft cabin design inspired by Riva motoryachts. The collaboration brings nautical styling to Flexjet's Gulfstream G650 jets and Sikorsky S-76 helicopters, targeting ultra-high-net-worth travelers.The Gulfstream G650 configuration accommodates 12-15 passengers for flights up to 16 hours, while two Sikorsky S-76 helicopters will operate in Florida and a new Milan-based service covering Italy and the French Riviera. Ferretti Group clients will receive preferential access to the helicopter operations.The design blends elements from Riva's 1960s Aquarama with contemporary Aquariva models, using artisanal materials and distinctive patterns. Italian shipyard AB Yachts, part of Next Yacht Group, has unveiled the AB 110S, a sportier version of its AB 110 model. The 33.7-meter yacht marks AB Yachts' first collaboration with automotive design firm EXE Design, incorporating elements such as a raked windshield and lightweight profile."We also boast over 20 years of experience in naval architecture. [And] this cross-sector approach is the real added value of our work," said Stefano Bedoni of EXE Design.Key features include multiple retractable systems: a sliding cockpit cover, a sunroof between the helm and saloon, and a hardtop that can cover either the helm station or sunpad. The main deck integrates a sunbathing area and a bar serving both indoor and outdoor spaces. A forward "flying couch" provides elevated seating with panoramic views.Powered by three MAN V12X-2200 engines, the AB 110S reaches 48 knots.
