Abeking & Rasmussen Schiffs- und Yachtwerft (A&R) has announced the appointment of Björn Schlüter as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Schlüter, aged 36, brings extensive management experience in shipbuilding to his new role, having previously served as Head of Construction at Fassmer Shipyard.
In his new position, Schlüter will work alongside the current CEO, Matthias Hellmann, who will assume the role of Chairman of the Management Board. This new management structure aims to bolster the company's strategic direction and operational efficiency.

The German-based shipyard specializes in the design, construction, and building of superyachts and various commercial vessels. With facilities capable of accommodating ships up to 125 meters in length, the yard has delivered over 6,500 vessels throughout its history.
