Renowned for crafting some of the globe's most stunning superyachts, the Venetian design studio Nuvolari Lenard consistently shines at prestigious boat shows, particularly the Monaco Yacht Show. This year's event promises to be no different, showcasing an impressive array of their projects, which range dramatically in size and style. Notable highlights include Lürssen's spectacular 122-meter yacht, Kismet, the newly launched 47-meter Serenissima S1 from Mengi Yay, and the famously compact 9.2-meter Monte Carlo Offshore 30, a modern reinterpretation of an iconic classic.

Kismet

The diverse range of vessels featured by Nuvolari Lenard reflects the exceptional talent and rich experience cultivated by its team over the last three decades. Founded in 1990 by naval architect Carlo Nuvolari and engineer Dan Lenard, the studio has become a leading force in yacht design, creating marine masterpieces that blend elegance with functionality.

Kismet stands as a major highlight at this year's show. As one of the largest superyachts ever displayed in Monaco, she currently ranks 31st among the largest by length. With her exterior designed by Nuvolari Lenard and a luxurious interior by Reymond Langton, Kismet is poised to attract significant attention at the show. Her sleek, flowing lines and distinctive mast underscore the studio's commitment to creating not just large yachts, but truly exceptional vessels that stand out in any setting.

“The owner of Kismet possesses a sophisticated understanding of architecture, which made the design dialogue seamless,” Carlo Nuvolari explains. “Our challenge was to not just construct a yacht, but to create the yacht – distinctive and memorable. Every project requires innovation, and at Nuvolari Lenard, it’s in our DNA to push boundaries.”

Kismet features unique design elements that enhance her seaworthiness while ensuring striking aesthetics. “The mast’s unusual shape sets her apart and makes her instantly recognizable, even from a distance,” Nuvolari notes. Additionally, the yacht's lines are designed to make her large profile seem sleek and aggressive, concealing her impressive volume within elegant design.

Serenissima S1

The Serenissima S1, a part of a limited series, showcases Nuvolari Lenard’s ability to innovate within constraints. Measuring 47 meters and crafted for discerning owners, Serenissima S1 aims to deliver the experience of a much larger yacht while remaining under the 500GT mark. This thoughtful approach allows for access to smaller, more exclusive ports.

Privacy and exceptional design are paramount in this yacht, featuring a master suite that occupies an entire upper deck with saloons and a unique layout designed for entertaining. Nuvolari emphasizes that the craftsmanship is evident throughout, from the exquisitely finished teak foredeck to innovative structural design solutions that enhance both form and function.

Completing the lineup is the Monte Carlo Offshore 30, a compact yet potent vessel that pays homage to its famous predecessor while embracing modern design elements. “Redesigning a classic like this was akin to reimagining the Porsche 911,” remarks Nuvolari. The upgraded model boasts muscular lines, impressive speed—capable of reaching 54 knots—and enhanced comfort features.

MC Offshore 30

The Nuvolari Lenard team is eager to engage with clients and share insights into their designs at the Monaco Yacht Show. Their commitment extends beyond these exceptional projects, with exciting new concepts—such as the sport-oriented 500GT Nuvolari Lenard 50 Plus—firmly in development.

Nuvolari summarizes their diverse offerings: “From the Monte Carlo Offshore 30 to Kismet, our portfolio reflects our extensive experience and unwavering innovation. We aim to meet and exceed client expectations across all yacht sizes and styles, ensuring that each design is unique and resonant with individuality.” At the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, Nuvolari Lenard exemplifies mastery over yacht design, ready to captivate attendees with their extraordinary creations.
